Michelle wants a slumber party just like Stephanie. Her dad at first refuses, then give in but warns her it's a lot tougher than it looks, and advises her to just invite Cassie over, if she wants to have a sleepover, since Cassie's her best friend. Hijinks ensue as except for Cassie the kids she wants can't make it, then the kids she gets just don't fit together well. She learns later that Stephanie's party also turned into a mess after Michelle went to bed when she had hers.
