Michelle decides to change her whole appearance and such to fit in with new friends after she only gets things like "nice," with one "boring," written about her in a "slam book," while this new kid gets words like "cool" and "awesome." She dies her hair, tries to cut her clothes, and then lies about having an air guitar.

While I can see Michelle doing one or two little things to fit in, this felt a little more like the 4th or 5th grade Stephanie than Michelle. It's still good, though It is a good book about trying to fit in and how being nice is really okay. And, it's great to see how Cassie and mandy still have faith she'll change back; that shows who her true friends are.
